These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rodent2Human website, platform, Clarisyn service, AI-powered tools, reports, outputs, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Rodent2Human ("Rodent2Human," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account, clicking to accept these Terms, accessing the Service, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you are using the Service on behalf of a company, university, laboratory, institution, or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms. In that case, "you" and "your" refer both to you individually and to that organization.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
1. The Service
Rodent2Human provides Clarisyn, an AI-powered research platform designed to support drug discovery, biomedical research, scientific analysis, and related research workflows.
The Service may allow users to submit natural-language queries, prompts, documents, datasets, or other research materials ("Input") and receive structured analytical reports, summaries, recommendations, or other AI-generated responses ("Output").
The Service is intended for professional, scientific, research, and internal business use only.
2. Important Research and Professional Disclaimer
The Service and any Output generated by the Service are provided for informational and research-support purposes only.
The Service does not provide:
• Medical advice
• Clinical advice
• Diagnosis or treatment recommendations
• Regulatory advice
• Legal advice
• Financial or investment advice
• Laboratory, safety, or operational instructions
• Any other professional advice requiring a licensed or qualified professional
Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, misleading, or unsuitable for your specific use case. You are solely responsible for independently reviewing, validating, and verifying all Outputs before relying on them.
You must not rely on the Service or any Output as the sole basis for medical, clinical, regulatory, investment, safety-critical, or other high-impact decisions.
3. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
• Be at least 18 years old;
• Be able to enter into a legally binding agreement;
• Use the Service only for lawful professional, research, internal business, or organizational purposes;
• Have authority to use the Service and submit any Input you provide;
• Comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
You may not use the Service if you are prohibited from doing so under applicable law or if we have previously suspended or terminated your access.
4. Accounts and Access
Access to certain parts of the Service may require creating an account.
You agree to:
• Provide accurate, current, and complete account information;
• Keep your login credentials confidential and secure;
• Not share your account credentials with third parties;
• Promptly update your account information if it changes;
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not authorized by you, unless caused by our breach of these Terms.
We may suspend or restrict access to your account if we reasonably believe that your account has been compromised, used unlawfully, or used in violation of these Terms.
5. Organizational Use
If you access or use the Service through an account provided by or associated with your employer, university, laboratory, institution, or organization, that organization may have rights to access, manage, control, or receive information about your account and use of the Service.
If an organization pays for your access to the Service or provides you with credentials, your use may be subject to that organization's policies and agreements with us.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service and any Input you submit complies with your organization's rules, confidentiality obligations, and applicable laws.
6. Acceptable Use
You may use the Service only in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
You must not:
• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or unauthorized purpose;
• Submit Input that you do not have the right, permission, or authority to submit;
• Upload or process personal data, confidential information, or third-party proprietary information without appropriate rights, consents, or legal basis;
• Submit personal health data, identifiable patient data, identifiable genetic data, biometric data, or other sensitive personal data unless expressly permitted by a separate written agreement with us;
• Use the Service to make medical, clinical, regulatory, safety-critical, or high-impact decisions without appropriate expert review;
• Use the Service to generate content intended to deceive, defraud, impersonate, harass, abuse, or harm others;
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, scrape, crawl, copy, extract, or attempt to discover the source code, models, algorithms, systems, prompts, training data, or underlying components of the Service;
• Use automated methods to access the Service except as expressly permitted by us;
• Circumvent access controls, authentication systems, security measures, usage limits, or rate limits;
• Interfere with, disrupt, overload, damage, or impair the Service or its infrastructure;
• Use the Service to develop, train, or improve a competing product or service without our prior written consent;
• Resell, sublicense, lease, rent, transfer, or otherwise commercially exploit access to the Service without our prior written consent;
• Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
• Use the Service in a way that infringes or violates intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights of any person.
We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated this section.
7. Prohibited Sensitive Data
Unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in a separate written agreement, you must not submit, upload, or process through the Service any of the following:
• Identifiable patient records or protected health information;
• Identifiable genetic, genomic, or biometric data;
• Personal data of children or minors;
• Government-issued identification numbers;
• Payment card data or financial account credentials;
• Passwords, security credentials, or authentication secrets;
• Precise geolocation data;
• Criminal history data;
• Special category personal data under UK GDPR or EU GDPR, including racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, health data, sex life, or sexual orientation;
• Any data that is subject to heightened legal, regulatory, or contractual restrictions unless you have obtained our prior written approval.
De-identified, anonymized, aggregated, or non-personal research data may be submitted where permitted by applicable law and your contractual obligations.
8. User Input
As between you and Rodent2Human, you retain ownership of the Input you submit to the Service.
You grant Rodent2Human a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, host, store, copy, process, transmit, display, and modify your Input solely as necessary to:
• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
• Process your requests;
• Generate Output;
• Provide support;
• Ensure security and prevent misuse;
• Comply with applicable law;
• Enforce these Terms;
• Improve the Service as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You represent and warrant that:
• You have all rights, licenses, permissions, and consents necessary to submit the Input;
• Your Input does not violate applicable law or third-party rights;
• Your Input does not breach confidentiality, privacy, intellectual property, contractual, or professional obligations;
• Your Input is not unlawful, harmful, or prohibited under these Terms.
You are solely responsible for your Input and the consequences of submitting it to the Service.
